Downtown Bridgeport is a lively entertainment and nightlife hub, hosting recurring events like Jane’s Walk, Nature Nights, PARK(ing) Day, Downtown Salsa Nights, and Color It In walking tours. These activities connect residents, office workers, and visitors with the vibrant local businesses. Each event features sponsor logos and a “Brought to you by…” message.

From July to October, the Downtown Farmers Market connects residents and 8,000+ office workers with fresh, local foods while supporting farmers, food producers, and artisans. Sponsorship funds a week of live entertainment and includes logo placement, boosting visibility among 8,500+ seasonal attendees.

Colorful Eats: Bridgeport Bucks ($250 and up)

Bridgeport Bucks are $5 printed coupons that are redeemed for produce at the Downtown Farmers Market from July through October. The printed Bridgeport Bucks include the sponsor’s logo, expanding your company’s visibility to the market’s 8,500+ seasonal onsite attendees while helping to lower the cost of fresh produce in the Bridgeport community.

A Pop of Color: Decorative Light Pole Banners ($250)

Decorative light pole banners brighten Downtown Bridgeport while promoting local businesses to residents, workers, students, and visitors. Displayed for a year starting June 2025, these 2’ x 4’ banners line Main Street, Broad Street, Fairfield Avenue, and McLevy Green. Sponsors can choose a design to complement their logo.

Color It In: Public Art (Variable)

Local artists can customize murals, utility box designs, or other installation locations, that serve to beautify Downtown Bridgeport and feature a company or organization’s logo and/or business name. Public art adds great vibrancy and vitality to the district, by adding color and character to the street level experience. Sponsorship level varies based on the specific project.

Downtown Bridgeport is a commercial area that represents and serves a diverse tapestry of the wider Bridgeport community. It’s our public parks, independently owned restaurants and shops, and the vibrant arts and culture offerings in the neighborhood that create connection points and foster the sense of community so special to the Downtown and the city.

The Bridgeport DSSD’S cultural programming provides an array of diverse activities that encourage our small businesses, residents, office workers, and visitors to connect and add vibrancy to the Downtown neighborhood, and drives customers to explore and shop Downtown. The connections forged through attendance at these events serve to increase feelings of belonging and pride in the neighborhood.

Each year, we partner with local event producers to enhance our ability to achieve those outcomes. If your organization or group would like to partner with the Bridgeport DSSD to host an event in Downtown Bridgeport, we invite you to fill out the application form linked below with a description of the event, and what types of partnership you are seeking. Partnership requests that include funding will be available for events that take place from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Partnership requests are due by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, via the application form. The Bridgeport DSSD Board of Commissioners will review the applications and decide on which partnerships to approve by May 13, 2026. All applicants will be notified by May 16, 2026, whether the event partnership request was approved or not.
