Using The 1619 Project as our guide\, we will focus on the themes of each chapter to deepen our understanding of what is happening and how we can better equip ourselves during this challenging time. Where possible\, we will have subject matter experts to lead the discussions\, but we will also rely on each other’s insights. \nWe will begin with a poem read by Ashley Aguilera\, followed by a discussion led by Diana Montano\, multimedia journalist\, editor\, and community educator. \nPlease review the chapter in preparation for the discussion.
