Paws in the Park

This pet-centered event, brand-new to Bridgeport, is the product of teamwork between the Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District, Full Moon Brewing Co., Rapha Massage and Bridgeport Animal Control. The goal of Paws in the Park is to bring together hundreds of our neighbors, their pets, and future pet owners, and to raise funds for Bridgeport Animal Control. This safe, fun, and informative pet-friendly festival will feature a costume parade and photo booth, adoption center, as well as skills demonstrations, vendor tables, food, a themed pup-cup bar, music, and so much more!

About the event beneficiary and co-host: Bridgeport Animal Control is the largest municipal animal shelter in the state of Connecticut. In the most populous city in the state, the Bridgeport Animal Control is a multi-functional division of the Bridgeport Police Department. Local shelters are overwhelmed with an increasing number of animals and need help! Last year Bridgeport Animal Control saw an over 25% increase in animals, and this year is on track for even more. Proceeds will replenish funds for veterinary care, as well as contribute to shelter-improvement projects that benefit the animals.
