Color Walks: Jane’s Walk

May 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us once a month on the first Saturday from 10am to 12pm for an insightful and delightful public art walk through our Downtown. Each walk features a different host and a fresh set of experiences, offering unique perspectives on our vibrant creative landscape. The walk concludes at delicious local lunch destination.

Our May Color Walk is a Jane’s Walk! Jane’s Walk is a weekend of free, public walks inspired by the legacy of urbanist and writer Jane Jacobs, whose focus on human-centered and community-led neighborhood development has made a lasting imprint on how cities are planned and built. We have held “Jane’s Walks Bridgeport” for the last nine years, sharing the unique story about how you see, interact with, and feel about our place.

The walk explores the neighborhood through the lens of Jane Jacob’s approach to community-led, human-centered design; highlighting the impact of recently installed public artworks on individual places in our neighborhood; and featuring the evolving uses of the historic buildings in our Downtown and the purposes they have served over time.

Spots are expected to fill quickly, so be sure to register today to join us!
