Color Walks: Golden Hill Paugussett History

Join us once a month for an insightful and delightful public art walk through our Downtown. Each walk features a different host and a fresh set of experiences, offering unique perspectives on our vibrant creative landscape. The walk concludes at delicious local lunch destination.
Our July Color Walk is about Golden Hill Paugussett history! Clan Mother Shoran Wapatuquay Piper will lead us on tour of the neighborhood featuring Golden Hill Paugussett history of Bridgeport, including the Paugussett’s impact on modern city, street names and meanings, and more tidbits. Clan Mother Shoran Waupatukuay Piper is the tribal head leader of the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe. She is a medicine woman, spiritualist, and the author of the book Red Road: Traditional Voice of Afro-Indigenous American.
