ART•SENAL OF DEMOCRACY: Reflections of the Times
Art as resistance. Creativity as a weapon. Expression as a call to action.
SAVE THE DATES! Join us during the Bridgeport Art Trail for a provocative exhibition that bridges Bridgeport’s powerful history with the urgency of our present.
During the World Wars, Bridgeport earned its nickname, “The Arsenal of Democracy,” manufacturing the tools and machinery that helped shape history.
Today, a new battle of ideas is unfolding, and artists are answering the call. This time, our arsenal is filled with words, images, beats, bodies, and stories.
As the legendary Nina Simone once said, “An artist’s duty, as far as I’m concerned, is to reflect the times.”
ART•SENAL OF DEMOCRACY brings together artists whose work confronts, questions, challenges, and gives voice to the world around us.
This exhibition is more than a reflection of our times. It’s a REACTION.
Come experience art that sparks dialogue, challenges perspectives, and reminds us of the power of creative expression.
