The Bridgeport DSSD Opens Nominations for Board of Commissioner Candidates
The Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District’s (DSSD) Board of Commissioners is adding four seats on the board for leaseholders within the DSSD’s service area. The Commissioner Nomination Form was open to all property owners and leaseholders interested in running for a board seat in fiscal year 2026 was open from March 5th through Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025.
A training session was held on how to run for election to the Board of Commissioners, including eligibility, what’s involved in serving on the DSSD Board of Commissioners, and the elections process. The candidates that submitted their interest via the nomination form were included on the ballot and in the candidate guide, which will be voted on at the Bridgeport DSSD’s Annual Meeting of the Membership on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Soundview Penthouse (855 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06604). All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
